REEL ADDICTS TOP ISLAMORADA MAKO OWNERS FUNAMENT
Brian Gonzalez and Gabby Moreira scored several quality size dolphin and a blackfin tuna to win the Top Mako Boat award at the Islamorada, Florida Keys, Mako Owners Funament, held out of World Wide Sportsman September 12 - 14. The team fished aboard their Mako 22, Reel Addicts. Gonzlaez also won Top Male Angler, whereas Moreira won Top Female Angler. A total of 48 Mako boats fished the event.
Four year old Liv Blanchenay, aboard Gone Fission, earned the Top Junior Girlaward, while Gianrico andGianni Carlozzi tied for Top Junior Boy. They also fished aboard Gone Fission. A 30 pound tarpon won Most Outstanding Inshore Catch for Kyle Rutherford aboard his Meant to Be. Exceptional catches of dolphin earned Todd Ermisch the Most Outstanding Offshore Catch. The Ermisch team fished aboard the Mako 334 Fishizzle.

RON REICHNER BIG WINNER AT FORT MYERS MAKO FUNAMENT
Team Irish Wakeleader Ron Reichnerand friend Johnny Robonsonteamed up with Captain Jon Fetteraboard his Mako 21 LTS Fishing for a Cure to sweep both the TOP MALE ANGLERand TOP MAKO BOATawards at the Fort Myers Mako Owners Fishing Funament, held October 10 - 12, at Fish Tale Marina. The team scored over 20 redfish up to 31-inches in length, along with several snook.
Funament veteran Sandy Shoreswon TOP FEMALE ANGLERwith catches of snook, tripletail, Spanish mackerel, mangrove snapper and jacks. She was aboard her Mako 21 Sandy Beaches. A 20-pound king mackerel won Robert Shefflerand his 25 Mako Jollymon the MOST OUTSTANDING OFFSHORE CATCH. The MOST OUTSTANDINGINSHORE CATCHwas a 29-inch snook released by Mac Attack team angler Nadiia Davis.
Inshore Slams (snook, redfish, trout) solidified wins in both Junior Angler categories. Eight year old Riley Maavichposted an inshore slam along with catches of mangrove snapper and trout to clinch TOP JUNIOR GIRLhonors. She fished aboard the family's Mako 17 Sea Gone. An inshore slam earned 15-year old Chase PhillipstheTOP JUNIOR BOYaward. He fished aboard the family's Pro 16 Skiff, D-ROCKS.
